Patent Agent
Andrew is a Patent Agent at ADVENT whose practice focuses on patent drafting, prosecution, and searching. Andrew’s Intellectual Property work is especially focused on a wide range of electrical and mechanical technology areas. As a Patent Agent, Andrew has worked for large corporations and small firms, from starting out in upstate New York with IBM, to later working as part of a two-man patent team in Houston, Texas. In 2021, Andrew moved to Omaha to become a part of the ADVENT Team because of his interest in our innovative business model and the vibrancy of the city of Omaha.
In 2010, Andrew graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in physics and a minor in mathematics. Before becoming a Patent Agent, Andrew worked as a commissioning engineer in the oil & gas industry, frequently traveling to China and Singapore for work.
Beyond patent work, Andrew’s interests include studying physics, mathematics, and music theory. In 2020, Andrew became a published song writer. Andrew also enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Erica, playing board games, going to concerts, watching college football, and taking nature walks with his golden retriever, Davey. In the next few years, Andrew hopes to improve his practice by furthering his education in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in semiconductor and radio-frequency technologies.
