During the formation of Advent, our founders focused many of their start-up efforts on developing a new business model for an intellectual property law firm. As opposed to the industries typical focus on the billable hour where relationships are disincentivized because of fees associated with an attorney’s time, we focus our business model on the value added to a project or matter. Our business model focuses on incentivizing a relationship with our attorneys.

All of our attorneys at Advent have engineering degrees and are registered patent attorneys with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Our firm wide focus is within the patent law specialization but we routinely develop business strategy and assessments in all areas of the intellectual property field (e.g. patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and internet commerce).
