Sean P. Connolly

Sean is a Patent Attorney with Advent IP. In this role, Sean assists clients in obtaining and enforcing U.S. and foreign patent rights, as well as drafting patent and due diligence opinions. Sean also has experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of intellectual property agreements including licenses, confidentiality, and joint development agreements.

Sean’s practice has involved a variety of chemical and mechanical technologies including composites, medical devices, pharmaceutical formulations, agricultural equipment, and a wide variety of consumer and industrial products.

Prior to entering law school, Sean worked as a cooperative education student for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, where he conducted materials research and testing focusing on elastomer compounding. He also conducted his undergraduate research in solid state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Prior to joining Advent IP at its formation in June, 2010, Sean practiced as an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP in Milwaukee and then Husch Blackwell LLP in Omaha.
